Star trek is a movie that everyone has been familiar with ever since the launch of the show on television which became an instant hit. The show won the hearts of many people all around the world with its wide range of characters and superb storyline. The entire saga was something that had instilled great emphasis on the story and people would just wait for the show to start and talked about it till it all came to an end. People were made to believe this story as it had deep rooted characters that can be remembered by fans till date. Making its entrance on the giant screen in the year 1966, this show has indeed been milked as a franchise. However, the 2009 version of the new take on Star Trek was a huge success as compared to the original and it revived a name which was losing popularity. The 2009 Star Trek was a huge hit and it filled the hearts of a million fans with hope.

The 2009 Star Trek follows a different theme from the original. This could be a disappointment for some of the fans as they believe in the traditional story of Star Trek where a single lost man is battling out a debate between science and philosophy. This was great back in 1966 but today, in the year 2009, people want something new and fresh. The new version of this movie was made with a great twist and a lot of fast paced action. Giving away the entire plot now would mean to spoil the experience. But in short, all that can be mentioned about the movie is it features, the early days of the famous James T Kirk and his famous USS enterprise crew members and the adventures they had to get to where Star Trek was in 1966. Thus, this is a prequel in timeline but a step forward to the series. It is now 2009 and people are looking at a fresh and innovative change to the series. A lot of cutting edge technology has been used this time around and the main cause for this is the fact that the film makers have this kind of technology to portray in movies. The casting for the new version is brilliant and it has a lot of amazing depth to the original.

Director J J Abraham has outdone himself and taken intense care and precision to make sure to not disappoint fans but to take the series positively in another direction. This is extremely acceptable to the team and it is great that the setting , score and actors have all kept in mind the number of fans that would be disappointed if this project did not go too well. Hoping that the sequel to this will be better, fans sit back and relax and remember this is 2009, and this is still indeed Star Trek.
