The movie G.I Joe- Rise of Cobra has been based on a group of superheroes trying to save the world. It has the basic concept of how the good guys save the world and the bad guy loses. It has been a child’s passion all through his life and finally it has managed to hit the silver screen. This movie has the same concept as that of the animated series. This new movie has however proved to be a failure as the director has tried too hard to make the movie look original even though the movie is for children. However the effects of the movie are really good. The story line is the same except for the fact that Cobra is nowhere in the movie right till the end, hence proving why the name is Rise of Cobra. It has also tried to tell viewers that another sequel will be out sometime soon. The movie can be watched as a way to pass time and it will be more so enjoyed by the kids. This is a classic example of a pure American Flick.

The action of the movie is non- stop and breathless. The special effects of the movie have somehow captured the attention of the viewers as it is quite interesting. If you are a true fan of G.I Joe you will definitely be aware of all the names. However this movie has more acclaim than that of Transformers as G.I Joe has been everyone’s favourite. The special effects of this movie are almost the same when compared to movies like Transformers and X- Men as the effects are more or less the same. Criticism of the movie cannot be helped as the movie has a few unrealistic themes. What can you expect from a movies based on action toys. It is definitely a fantasy story. There are quite a few computer generated effects which is always made to look as realistic as possible. The Stand out in the movie is Sienna Miller as Baroness as she is the most fashionable and prettiest character in the movie. She has a lot of fun playing with the bad guys, making her look like the real hero in the movie.

GI.joe has been compared to the Transformers 2 movie due to the releases at the same time and both are pure American action flicks and G.I Joe has been triumphant over the Transformers movie. The plot of the movie is quite boring as everyone will know at the end of the movie. This is only if you are a fan of the animated series. If you are not a fan this movie will be an unusually interesting movie. Everyone wanted to see Cobra in the movie but it so happens that he only appears at the end of the movie. This is not quite the start that fans wanted. But since it was the beginning of the G.I- Joe series it has proved to be a good start for the movie as now everyone awaits Cobra, making the next plot more interesting.
