TERMINATOR-SALVATION 2009

By admin

In the Terminator film series, Terminator Salvation is the fourth film. The film has been directed by Joseph McGinty. Joseph had earlier made films like “Charlie’s Angels” and “We are Marshall”.
Terminator Salvation starts with Marcus (Sam Worthington) sitting on death row on the day of his execution. Sereba (Helena Bonham Carter) is trying to convince him to donate his body to her for research, apparently for some cancer research but the document he signs is for Cyberdyne systems. John Connor (Christian Bale) is, in fact, the lead on the page that we find in 2018, when he jumps out of a helicopter in a lead strike on a Skynet facility. It is a story of war against machines with John Connor (Christian Bale) at the forefront. After 14 years of the Judgment Day brought on by Skynet, the combative remainders battle the robots that were attempting to eliminate all humans from earth. These robots particularly chase and hunt for the teen aged Kyle Reese (Anton Yelchin) who was destined to be the father of JohnConnor. Broadcast for and mythic status of John Connor causes a leadership role for him to carry out the mission. In the meantime, death row prisoner Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington) awakes in his future with the last memory of his being, all set for killing fifteen years ago.

The killer machines in Terminator Salvation are fast and frightening. The film is full of action scenes which have been captured with astonishing technique by the director.
The director met with “Terminator” creator James Cameron, who wasn’t involved in the third movie and reportedly wasn’t happy with how it turned out. James Cameron didn’t contribute to the script of “Terminator Salvation,” but he did recommend Australian actor Sam Worthington for the part of Marcus. Worthington also stars in “Avatar,” Cameron’s first movie as a director since “Titanic,” which will be released this December. The casting includes Anton Yelchin who plays the role of young Kyle Reese who later on goes back in time and becomes the father of John Connor. Yelchin will also be the young Chekov in this summer’s “Star Trek.” John Connor’s wife has been played by Bryce Dallas Howard. She has played the role of Claire Danes in the third series of Terminator. The role of the villain Serena has been played by Helena Bonham Carter. Helena accepted this role because of her partner, director Tim Burton who is a great fan of “Terminator”.

The Director has handled the massive special effects vehicles effectively. There are some thrilling action sequences in this movie which are undoubtedly like nothing else that you will view at this present time. There are lots of practical effects and awesome sets that have been used where possible to make the movie look real. The director has attempted to do many interesting new things like the action scenes where a lot of continuous takes have been used and there is one helicopter crash scene which is worth mentioning in particular which is pretty innovative. The role of Marcus Wright has been played brilliantly by Sam Worthington who is continuously surrounded by conflict and mystery and provides a dramatic weight to the movie and its story. There are various other cast-members including Michael Ironside as General Ashdown. Cameos is the voice behind Linda Hamilton . A brief appearance by Arnold Schwarzenegger is a nice moment to see.
The earlier three movies of the Terminator series have received a rating of ‘R’. The producers and the director are aggressively making the effort to bring this movie down to a rating of ‘PG’, as the studio feels that a rating that is more kid-friendly will attract bigger viewers and also offer opportunity to sell more action video games and figures. It is considered that if a ceremonial release is rated PG, it is sure to be followed by an ‘unrated’ DVD edition also.

Terminator-Salvation is an entertaining film with great special special effects. With iincessant future warfare and a great deal of action, I feel that you will enjoy this movie.
