Thor will be soon known for his work on 1891, a film that will surely get its due soon as it releases next year. Thor is also developing Measle and the Wrathmonk as a directing vehicle at Warner Bros and ImageMovers.
Freudenthal’s attachment comes four years after the studio, along with ImageMovers partners Robert Zemeckis and Jack Rapke, purchased the feature rights to Ian Oglivy’s Measle trilogy. The project could include the performance capture technology that Zemeckis employed in Polar Express.
Measle centers on a young boy sent to live with an eccentric uncle who turns out to be a wizard. It is the second recent directing gig for Freudenthal, who was attached to Paramount’s adaptation of Agnes Quill: An Anthology of Myster a graphic novel we had talked about a week back.
