Quentin Tarantino has enlisted legendary film composer Ennio Morricone to compose the score for his upcoming WWII film Inglourious Basterds. Tarantino is known to be a big fan of Morrisone having used a bunch of his Spaghetti Western themes in the Kill Bill films and even his latest Death Proof.
But the story is still not legitimate. Tarantino has already said that he wouldn’t be hiring a composer on this film because he likes picking his own soundtracks and that will surely be a good decision. A remix of the famous Morricone composition The Ecstacy of Gold was recently used in the David Fincher Nike commercial.
So how far this news will affect the movie is still not certain. But I still think it will be nice if Quentin Tarantino will compile a selection of tracks like his older movies.
