Focus Features have provided six new film clips for Milk starring Sean Penn, Josh Brolin, James Franco and Emile Hirsch.

Tagline: His life changed history. His courage changed lives.

In 1977, Harvey Milk was elected to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, becoming the first openly gay man to be voted into public office in America. This will be a really good push for the film to address certain issues. His victory was not only a victory for gay rights; he totally changed the political spectrum. He fought senior citizens to union workers. Sean Penn stars as Harvey Milk under the direction of Gus Van Sant in Milk. He filmed on location in San Francisco from an original screenplay by Dustin Lance Black, and produced by Dan Jinks and Bruce Cohen.

The film follows the last 8 years of Harvey Milk’s life. While arriving in New York City, he turns 40. He looks for more purpose in his life. Milk and his lover relocate to San Francisco, where they started a small business. In the quiet neighborhood of Castro, Milk surprises Scott his love and himself by becoming an outspoken agent for change.

Now with the support of Scott and from new friends like young activist Cleve Jones, Milk plunges himself into the choppy waters of politics. Bolstering his public profile with humor, Milk’s actions speak even louder than his gift of gab words.

Milk’s platform was and is one of hope – A hero’s legacy that resonates in the here and now.

Here are the six clips via IESB. Milk opens in limited release on November 26 th and expands December 5 th and 12 th.
