One of the biggest remaking new for this year was the one for Sympathy for Lady Vengeance. The original film was directed by Park Chan wook and it was a total classic with a rich performance from the female protagonist and some really beautiful cinematography. Now Charlize Theron is interested in remaking this movie.

The news might anger a lot of hard core fans of the film. But I really wouldn’t mind seeing Charlize reprising this complex role. The Korean actress in this film Lee Yeong ae was one of the big factors that made the original such a great movie.

Sympathy for Lady Vengeance is a 2005 Korean thriller directed by Park Chan Wook. After a 13 year imprisonment for the kidnap and murder of a six year old boy, beautiful Lee Guem ja starts seeking revenge on the man that was really responsible for the boy’s death. With the help of fellow inmates and reunited with her daughter, she gets closer and closer to her goal. It is the third film in the series of revenge film directed by Park Chan Wook. It is an unforgettable film.
