Charlize Theron has been cast alongside Tome Cruise in the action thriller The Tourist from Spyglass entertainment. The film is a remake of the 2005 French film titled Anthony Zimmer and is being directed by Bharat Nalluri, who is one of the favorites of mine. Theron will play an Interpol agent who uses an American tourist in an attempt to flush out an elusive criminal with whom she once had an affair. This version of the script was first written by Julian Fellowes, of Gosford Park and Vanity Fair, and is currently being polished by Christopher McQuarrie, of Usual Suspects and Valkyrie.
The original film that is based on is a really rush of a film which starred the beautiful Sophie Marceau. Nalluri is really known for his work on Life on Mars which was a phenomenal show. He had directed the pilot of the show and the next episode as well. So there is no questioning his abilities as a director. He will surely bring the added spice to the film.
