Miramax is in negotiations to pick up the Keira Knightley starrer Last Night in a number of territories including North America in a deal pegged at low seven figures.
They will also take the distribution rights for the film in South Africa, the U.K., Australia, New Zealand, Latin America and Brazil.
French Production Company Gaumont and Nick Wechsler Productions are producing the drama, the feature directorial debut of Massy Tadjedin. Sam Worthington, Eva Mendes and Guillaume Canet are also part of the cast.
The film revolves around a married couple and the night they spend apart when the husband takes a business trip with a colleague to whom he is attracted. While he is away, his wife encounters her past love.
The shooting for the film begins this month in New York. Gaumont will handle worldwide sales and will release the film in France.
