Adrien Brody will star in independent actioner The Courier for Arclights. The film will be directed by Russell Mulcahy.

The film will be produced by Dan Grodnick, Gary Hamilton, Tucker Tooley, Vincent Newman and new production chief Mike Gabrawy. The script is written by the team of Michael Brandt and Derek Haas who wrote the successful Wanted film. The film centers on a daredevil courier, who is pursued across the country by corrupt cops and rival crime bosses when he has to deliver a briefcase to a notorious underworld figure who can’t be found.

Shooting is scheduled to start in January in Louisiana and Las Vegas.

Adrien Brody just recently completed The Darjeeling Limited and The Brothers Bloom.
