MPAA released a terrible batch of ratings yesterday and one of the biggest surprises of them all was R Rating for Slumdog Millionaire. The MPAA cites “some violence, disturbing images and language” as the reasons it was given an R Rating, all of which it does have, but is not in the Rated region. I think the director should contest the rating so that it can get a wider release.

The rating might take a beating on its box office prospects. I think Fox needs to contest this so that they can get a better rating. The film is being called one of the best movies to come out this year. It is one of the most enduring, entertaining and fascinating films to come out this year.
