The Playlist got some new clips of Synecdoche New York on their website courtesy of Daily Motion. The film comes out this Friday on October 24 th via Sony Picture Classics. It is a film that is really dividing people and we are sort of excited about that. Many of critics have given mixed reactions to this picture, some even going to say multiple viewing are necessary to understand this film. Charlie Kaufman who made this recent film is much loved by his fans, which seem to get what many of the critics are saying. I except a good box office return for this movie starring a strong cast. The film was not well reviewed by many of the blogging sites they seem to loose it in the second half.

But I just can’t wait to see this beautiful mess of a movie. I remember when the reviews were out for another beautiful movie titled Science of Sleep starring our favorite actor Gael Garcia Bernal. So I expect the same with this movie as well.

Most of the scenes in the movie are absurd and concentrate on the disintegrating relationship that he shares with his wife played by Philip Seymour Hoffman and Catherine Keener. The whole film will present a bleak picture of what is reality and common place. I can’t really wait for that to happen.

Synopsis

A wild-eyed theater director (Philip Seymour Hoffman) attempts to build a life-sized replica of New York City in preparation for an ambitious play in the feature directorial debut of notoriously quirky screenwriter Charlie Kaufman (”Being John Malkovich,” “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”). Catherine Keener, Michelle Williams, and Emily Watson co-star in a tale of one man’s quest to stage the ultimate love letter to the Big Apple.
