Brad Pitt in Troy

After the immensely successful adaptation of The Illiad into the 2004 film Troy. Warner Bros is all set to team up with Brad Pitt to make an adaptation of the Greek poet’s other master work, The Odyssey, George Miller will be teaming up with Brad Pitt for the adaptation.

The film will be shifted to an modern setting somewhere in space. Warner Bros has quietly set up the Odyssey and the early hope is that Pitt will star and Miller will direct, with Pitt’s Plan B producing. Pitt played Achilles in the Wolfgagng Peterson directed Troy, a global hit that David Benioff adapted from the Illiad.

Both Homer poems dealt with the Trojan War; The Odyssey focused on the exploits of Odysseus, who hatched the idea to build the Trojan Horse. The Odyssey deals with his long journey home after he declines to become a god.

Pitt will be next seen in the David Fincher directed The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and the Terrance Malick directed Tree of Life. He just began shooting the Quentin Tarantino directed Inglourious Basterds (watch the spelling it is right)
