The trailer for the Amy Adams and Emily Blunt starer has just turned up online. The excitement will be short lived even though it stars these two beautiful actresses. The film was not really received well by the critics. The story revolves around two sisters played by Amy Adams and Emily Blunt and their father played by Alan Arkin. The two sisters begin a crime scene clean up service. Even the concept of the film sounds really good. But alas it is lack of comedy in the movie that really kills this drama.
Surely this will be an interesting movie to watch with the two actresses’ part of the cast. But I think only fans of any of the two will really enjoy this movie. I m pretty sure there are loads of them.
Sunshine Cleaning is directed by Christine Jeffs, of indie films Rain and Sylvia previously. The script was written by first-time writer Megan Holley. This first premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year and was later picked up by Overture Films for distribution. Sunshine Cleaning arrives in limited theaters starting sometime in early 2009.
