Dreamworks will be moving forward with a release date for Kung Fu Panda sequel. The film is slated for release on June 3 rd 2011 and it will be titled Pandamonium.

Jack Black and Angelina Jolie have already signed on for the sequel to reprise their voices and it will be directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson, head of story on Kung Fu Panda.

They are also planning to release the film in Imax theatres worldwide. So this film will also be produced in stereoscopic 3 D technology. The news is not really a surprise because they already had a press conference saying that there would be a sequel for the film. They were just in talks with the actors who were part of the voice.

Kung Fu Panda which was distributed by Paramount Pictures has earned more than 626 million worldwide making it Dream Works Animation most successful non sequel film ever.

So DWA will realease the movie in 2011. The sequel will center on Po, the world’s biggest Kung Fu Fan, as he continues his journey as the chosen one who fulfills an ancient prophecy while mastering the art of Kung Fu.

The release of Kung Fu Panda on DVD and Blu ray will be on November 9 th. So this comes as welcome news for the fans of this movie.
