James Gandolfini and Kristen Stewart are ready to welcome Melissa Leo in the indie drama Welcome to the Rileys, to be directed by Jake Scott.
The film revolves around a couple (Gandolfini, Leo) driven apart by the death of their daughter but brought back together when they meet a troubled young woman. Ken Hixon wrote the screenplay.
The film begins shooting this month in New Orleans. Future Films is financing the film, and Scott Free and HandMade Films International are co producing. Leo stars in the Sundance grand prize winner Frozen river. She recently finished work on the indie drama Don McLay alongside Thomas Haden Church and Elisabeth Shue. This movie was also co produced by Thomas Haden Church.
