The news of the Dark Knight’s success in the IMAX box office hitting everyone by surprise, the film had grossed over 60 million dollars from IMAX alone. Now many studio films are also going the IMAX way. The first of the pack was the Harrry Potter movie that has already incorporated more than 25 minutes of IMAX footage into the movie. But this growing trend didn’t just end there.

Now the list of films in the same company is Iron Man 2 which will be directed by Jon Favreau, then Y: The last man directed by DJ Caruso. Now the next big movie in the list is the Transformers movie which has already shot three action sequences in IMAX. So this going to be something special for the movie, which already boasts of some interesting live action and CGI effects. So for a film of such magnitude to adopt IMAX cameras will be a added boost to the format.
