Sean Penn is all set to be honored at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles. He will be conferred with the Stanley Kubrick Britannia nod for excellence in film.

The BAFTAs most prestigious award will be presented on November 6 th at the 2008 BAFTA LA Britannia Award at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hote.

The actor-director who was recently leader of the jury at the recent Cannes festival, is also known for his directorial ventures like the Pledge and Into the Wild. His next film will be the starring role in the Gus Van Sant film Milk that chronicles the life of Harvey Milk.
