The new trailer for Lance Hammer’s independent film titled Ballast has just been released by Sony Picture Classics. The trailer takes its cue from Little Children where it does not feature any actual dialog just sounds from the film. The trailer is really interesting watch because of the use of this style. Sony Picture Classics is going all out in its marketing efforts for this film. Ballast is a drama set in Mississippi delta, where one man’s suicide affects three people’s lives. The film won the directing and cinematography awards at the recent Sundance Film Festival. It is surely looking really good indie dramas that will surely getting some good reviews at the time of release.
The film has got some good support from critics who have called it raw and gritty. This is surely one movie that I m looking forward to. Here is the trailer and the poster from the film.
