The World War II picture has been in the news for all the right reasons. The movie will premier on November 9 th at the Arclight Hollywood’s Cinerama Dome Theatre as the closing night film at the AFI fest.

Zwick who is fresh from his last hit starring Leonardo Di Caprio called Blood Diamond. He will hope to get the same success with this movie because of its Jewish theme.

The film Defiance is based on the true story of three brothers who form a resistance against the Nazis. It is set for release in December and it stars Bond aka Daniel Craig. This will be a small departure for the action star. He has been taking increasing diverse roles in the last couple of years. This is surely a good sign for cinema.
