Golden Horse Festival gets some ‘Parking’

The Taiwan Golden Horse Film Festival opening film will be ‘Parking’. Directed by local director Chung Mong hong, it is a surrealistic adventure of a divorced man, as he searched for the owner of a car that double parks next to his, preventing his exit and reunification with his wife. Parking was screened at the Un Certain regard part of the recent Cannes film Festival.

Another film announced at the line up is Yang Li Zhou’s documentary Conquer the North Pole as the Chinese language closing film. Paris directed by French director Cedric Klapisch was announced as the festival’s foreign language film.
