Ben Affleck will write, star and direct in The Town. It is an adaptation of the romance heist novel Prince of Thieves by Chuck Hogan. Ben Affleck, whose work on the memorable Gone Baby Gone brought him a lot of critical praise after a string of bad choices. The new film he has just taken up is similarly toned and is a high tension love triangle between a female bank manager, a longtime thief who stole more than her heart and an equally smitten FBI agent trying to bust the crook and his gang before they can pull another heist off.

For the time being he is rewriting the script written by Peter Craig. Ben Affleck will also star as the thief who falls in love with a manager of a bank. Graham King will be producing the film under the wing of Warner Bros. The film will be situated close to where Ben Affleck grew up so expect a beautiful recreation of the story. The idea that Ben Affleck will shoot in Boston has got my interest. He is sort of the king of knowing the right places to shoot in these Boston suburbs.
