The former Lost star Harold Perrineau is being held hostage for his next big screen role. He will be joined with Michael Madsen and Danny Trejo.

Perrineau also is executive producing the Morningstar Films project, with the indie company’s John Sachar producing. Filming started during the weekend in North Carolina.

Mark Young will direct the movie, he scripted about a man armed with a shotgun at a remote roadside diner. But with the death of each hostage we suddenly find out there is someone who might be more dangerous than the stranger carrying the gun.

Perrineau plays one of the hostages, a traveling salesman named John. The actor recently appeared in the one-hour ABC drama “The Unusuals,” which was picked up by the network for midseason. His film credits include “The Matrix,” “28 Weeks Later” and “Romeo + Juliet.”
