Yesterday at a news conference at Toronto, they revealed the new movie starring Edward Norton called Leaves of Grass. The film will be written and directed by Tim Blake Nelson, is being produced by Nu Image/Millennium Films and will start shooting in late September. The film is being called a comedy thriller about twin brothers portrayed by Norton. One of them is an Ivy League philosophy professor, while the other is a brilliant marijuana grower. The professor is lured back to his Oklahoma hometown for a doomed scheme against a local drug lord that unravels his life.

What will really interest most of readers is the fact that Edward Norton will play a double role, really what more could you asks for? Susan Sarandon will play the mother of the two brothers, while Keri Russell will play the love interest and Richard Dreyfuss will play the local drug lord. Nelson wrote the script and gave it to Norton last year, but Norton didn’t read it right away. “When Norton finally did read it, he was hooked.” Norton said that “there have been only a couple of times in my career that I’ve gone, ‘That’s exactly what I want to do.’ It felt very complete.”
The film will be produced on a moderate budget, compared to the big spending extravaganza The Incredible Hulk. So this will be surely a departure from his serious roles in the past couple of years but the poster of this doesn’t give away the fact that it is a comedy.
