The moment news about Darren Aronofsky taking up the Robocop Project, there has been some huge interest among fans and also a little confusion. His last couples of movies have been really weird to say the least. Films like Requiem for a Dream and the visceral Pi. There is also the cult unfriendly The Fountain. But what really got him hooked to the Robocop project?

When MTV News caught up with him at the Toronto Film Festival, all Aronofsky would say of what attracted him was that “it’s an interesting landscape.” “But we’ve got to get a screenplay. We’re deep in it,” he added. “But there’s not much to say until there is a screenplay.”

The film won’t be a direct sequel to the movie and will have an R Rating, a trend that many of the franchises have been following. Aronofsky is known for his strangeness, which has caught the eye of many of his fans, had this to say about the premise of the film, “I don’t think its set anywhere that’s recognizable.”

So this is sure to get many people guessing whether it is going to be a city, from an unseen future. So with all the advancements in technology, it is going to be something to look forward to.
