Couple of days back there has been rumors saying that there is a chance that Matt Damon might star in David Fincher’s next movie based on the Brian Bendis and Marc Andreykp’s graphic novel Torso. Now there has been some confirmation on the project.

It has become official that Matt Damon will be playing Eliot Ness – the iconic head of the Untouchables and Cleveland Chief of Police during the brutal Torso Murders. Ehren Kruger will be writing the script for the film and that Paramout will start production on the film as early as February next year.

Kruger has a strong list of writing credits including Arlington Road, The Ring, The Skeleton Key and the forthcoming Tranformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen. Damon was last seen in the highly successful Bourne franchise.
