Jason Reitman is right now in talks with George Clooney who just had his film Burn After Reading screened at the recent Venice Film Festival. He is to play Ryan Bingham a frequent flyer that is pursuing his millionth frequent flyer mile in his last week in employment with his company. This is surely going to be an interesting follow up to his last film Juno. This is said to be a film that will take Jason back to the good old days of Thank you For Smoking.
The film will be the adaptaption of Walter Kirn’s book of the same name. Reitman had this to say about the story “most of the time, in a movie, it’s about a guy and at the beginning he’s lonely, and he thinks he has it all and he meets a girl and she changes everything… this is not that movie.” So the work on this will go on full swing ahead once this casting call is finalized and it is sure to be a hat trick for the director of Thank You For Smoking and Juno.
