The new Allan Ball film was first called Nothing is Private and it shown at the Toronto film Festival last year. Alan Ball his known for his work on Six Feet Under and American Beauty. It had got some really good reactions from the crowd with many people in the audience taken by this story of a young Arab girl named Jasira who is sent to live with her strict Lebanese father. She begins a tale of discovery that leads to many difficult decisions and also a questioning of her own morality.

Summer Bishil plays the morally conflicted Arab girl with amazing grace. She is supported by an able cast of Maria Bello, Aaron Eckhart and Toni Collette. The film is an exploration of sexuality that goes beyond the grass roots of American Beauty. I really hope this film gets a proper release in the US.
