Wes Anderson‘s first feature Bottle Rocket was more a showcase of his surrealistic cinematic vision. He was teamed up with his two favorite actors Owen Wilson and his brother Luke Wilson. The film is a touching depiction about three young misfits. Luke Wilson plays a calm man named Anthony who is fresh out of a mental hospital and he somehow gets involved once again in the mindless ramblings of his best friend played by Owen Wilson and a weird getaway driver Bob played by Robert Musgrave. Dignan the friend hatches a plan to steal a bookstore and then go away for a while. But in this journey of trying to get away Anthony falls for a South American housekeeper Inez. The film is one of the few films that will touch you for its quirky sensibility. This was the film that brought Wes Anderson and the Wilson brothers on the map.
