Ben Affleck signs on for ‘Extract’

Casey Affleck in Gone Baby Gone

Ben Affleck is sentenced to a Mike Judge comedy called Extract. He is right now in negotiations to play an ambulance chasing lawyer that centers on a flower extract factory owner played by Jason Bateman who’s dealing with workplace problems and a streak of bad luck, including his wife leaving him for a giglo.

Clifton Collins Jr who has been doing a string of interesting roles is cast as a factory owner who seems to be in a freak accident in which he looses his arm and is seeking a huge settlement. The sultry Mila Kunis from the 70s show is also on board this project that begins shooting in a couple of days.

Mike judge who penned the script and is producing the film with John Altschuler under the production Ternion Production.

Ben Affleck has a long standing relationship with Miramax dating back to Good Will Hunting which he had penned and were produced by Miramax. He also made his directorial debut with Gone Baby Gone with this company. The film made me a believer out of the guy.

His last big role was in the Hollywoodland. He has two films in the pipeline called State of Play and Warner Bros He’s Just Not That Into You. Collins on the other hand has the The Perfect Game and Crank 2 for Lionsgate and super secret JJ Abrams Star Trek prequel for Paramount.
