Kenneth Lonergan in my view is one of the greatest writing talents America has. He has penned scripts like the thoughtful tear jerker You Can count On Me. He wont a lot of praise for the film and was also nominated for an Oscar. Another one of his scripts that has got a mention is the Martin Scorcese epic Gangs of New York. There are some unforgettable scenes in that movie with Leonardo Di Caprio and Daniel Day Lewis.

The new film which he is writing will star Ashton Kutcher which will surely be a departure for the actor. It is a story of a multigenerational look at fatherhood, centering on a father and son who have never gotten along but who find something in common when they coincidentally have baby sons at the same time.

Kenneth has just recently finished his work on Margaret starring Anna Paquin and Matt Damon. Lonergan wrote the script for the film and it will be releasing around the awards season.
