Bobby Moresco has been set by producer Joseph Iscro to write a film about the organized crime patriarch Charlie Lucky Luciano. Isgor the producer was once a independent record promoter who was once accused but then cleared of allainces with the Gambino Clan. He is now lining up funds for the film on Charlie Lucky Luciano at around 35 million. He will be producing through his Full Force Prods label.

The film will deal with Luciano’s rise from the Lower East Sife street to the mastermid of the organized crime syndicate. Another project on the kingpin is also being commissioned by sports promoter Frank J.Russo, with a script from Joe Cortese.

Isgro is really confident with the authenticity of the project he is undertaken being the man behind the big guy. The source with Isgro is not going to be revealed but it is someone close to Luciano. There have been extensive interviews and research that has been handed over to Moresco.

The chunk of the story will lead with how the government put Luciano away on a 30 year stretch for pimping and pandering and then used his help during the American WWII efforts with a promise of pardon. Moresco said that Luciano used his mob clout on the New York docks to root out spies whose reports of ship movement to Nazi U-boats led to the sinking of more than 250 ships. Luciano also arranged for safe passage when troops landed in Sicily. This is surely going to be an intriguing project and one that will need an interesting cast.

Isgro who is now looking for more film projects and will be taking a step back from music. Moresco on the other hand is really busy with writing a TV series based on the movie and also this project.
