Chris Columbus

Chris Columbus has secured the rights for the Robert F. Kennedy biopic. It is based on the book by Thurston Clarke called “The Last Campaign : Robert F. Kennedy and 82 days that inspired America. This deal is surely huge after the other big biopic Lincoln directed by Spielberg is also in the works. But the news is not all that good with Chris Columbus who might write, direct and produce the movie. His last two movies almost destroyed a franchise like the Harry Potter part one and two. The story will be about his brief presidential campaign he took on March 16 th 1968 and his tragic assassination on June 4th in the same year.

But all this might not turn out to be good for the biopic with the directorial duties given to Columbus. His last couple of movies like Mrs Doubtfire and Rent were not actually that great in the story telling department. So there is also a feeling of a personal interest associated to the project Columbus seems to be a lot inspired by the man but who isn’t.
