After an Oscar nomination Rinko Kikuchi seems to have made it in the hollywood map. She is starring in two upcoming movie one by the talented Rian Johnson called the Brothers Bloom the other is Weinstein Co’s wartime romance “Shanghai”.

Now she seems to have caught the eye of Elegy director Isabel Coixet to plays a double agent of sorts in the movie Map of the Sounds of Tokyo. The film seems to be one of those off beat double agent films that seems to take the fancy of many indie directors like Isabel.

The film will be set in Japan as the name suggests and it will center around a fish market employee who is also a contract killer. The role is a real catch for the Japanese actress who seems to get several plum projects in Hollywood after her nomination.
