He excelled in the recent 3:10 to Yuma, American Gangster, and it appears he'll be wonderful in Body of Lies, State of Play and yes, Tenderness too, if it's ever released. But he plays a small character role in Tenderness, not starring, so even if his career was foundering, which it isn't, it isn't meant to be anything more than a large cameo, filmed to help out his old friend, Director Polson. Russell Crowe’s career needs no revival. He's got so many movies waiting in the wings I don't know how he keeps them all straight in his head! Postponements of some filming involves many factors that have nothing to do with Russell. He's plenty busy and his career is doing just fine! Besides, he's loving some time off to spend at home with his family. It seems like eons that we've been waiting for Tenderness! I'm sure with Polson and Russell, it's going to be a wonderful movie. Russell needs NO ‘revival’ of his career!
