Russell Crowe has been on the studio format for quite sometime now. I was really waiting for a movie that will go away from it. Tenderness is one such film that might just be the key to his revival. The film revolves around a cop who tries to figure out whether a violent teen played by Jon Foster murdered his family.
There is also an able supporting cast who joined the film after Russell was a part of it. Laura Dern who is a also a part of the cast is featured in the pictures. The film is directed by John Polson, the man behind the forgettable Hide and Seek and the cult hit Swimfan. The film will probably release around the time of the Oscars.

Don’t know what you mean by “Studio format,” or Russell Crowe’s “revival.” His career seems in fine form, to me, with his last two films solid hits. Anyway, I’m really looking forward to “Tenderness,” and wish they’d release it, already! Karen Murphy

YEAH! When do we get to see Tenderness anyway?????? I can hardly wait for the next Russell Crowe movie!!!!! No matter which one it is!!!!

Russell needs NO ‘revival’ of his career! He’s got so many movies waiting in the wings I don’t know how he keeps them all straight in his head! Postponements of some filming involves many factors that have nothing to do with Russell. He’s plenty busy and his career is doing just fine! Besides, he’s loving some time off to spend at home with his family.
It seems like eons that we’ve been waiting for Tenderness! I’m sure with Polson and Russell, it’s going to be a wonderful movie.

No matter what he does it is going to be great.He is a very very good actor adn puts 100% inot every movie he makes and it comes through on the screen ….flawless.

Russell Crowe’s career needs no revival. He excelled in the recent 3:10 to Yuma, American Gangster, and it appears he’ll be wonderful in Body of Lies, State of Play and yes, Tenderness too, if it’s ever released. But he plays a small character role in Tenderness, not starring, so even if his career was foundering, which it isn’t, it isn’t meant to be anything more than a large cameo, filmed to help out his old friend, Director Polson.
