Not many of us must have heard of this small movie Francis For Coppola had made in between Godfather 1 and 2. With most of his lifes work being surrounded by these two movies. They sort of left him with very little to work from after the release of the big giants of cinema.
But this small movie that starred Gene Hackman and an able supporting cast who had not made it big by then. Cindy Williams, Teri Garr and Harrison Ford before the Star Wars hit him. The film was a cinematic first that dealed with audio surveillance. There were many who said that the eventual movie Enemy of the State was inspired by Gene’s character in this movie. The movie won at the Cannes film festival that year. It also turned out to be a critical masterpiece. But my views of making it into a television show will be something great. But it is a question of where they would like to the characters.
