The Wrestler seems to be getting ready to size up to a premier at The Venice Film Festival that opens on September 5th. The film will be reportedly playing two days from that venue in Toronto Film Festival. So for those of you who miss out on the release at the Venice can jump on TIFF for a special screening. Hopefully we will be able to get a report on the events over there.

Now for the big news for the movie. There has been news doing the rounds that Slash from the Guns and Roses fame seems to be part of the soundtrack. There seems to be loads of other musical surprises in store for this movie.

The story is about a Wrestler who is too old to be fighting anymore and is advised by his doctors to stop wrestling if he values his life. The film has a strong supporting cast including a stripper friend played by the sexy Marisa Tomei named Cassidy. There is also one of Reel Suave Favorites Evan Rachel Wood who plays the wrestler estranged daughter. The premier should also include talks with the director about his next Robocop project.
