Brad Pitt and Jolie at the Golden Globes

Finally we have got word about the Inglorious. It is surely a big surprise with ll that has been written in the press. Brad Pitt signs on the dotted line for Quentin Tarantino’s next. He will play Lt. Aldo Raine, the head of the Jewish resistance in the Inglorious Bastards

The names on the list might even get bigger with Simon Pegg in discussions to join the cast. There is also talks with the CBS “Numbers” but there there might scheduling conflict in his case.

More on Pitt’s character he plays a Southern rebel who leads a band of eight Jewish American soldiers as they get revenge on the Nazis who are stationed in German occupied France. Pegg on the other hand would play the British Liutenant Krumholtz’s who would be a part of the team.

Producer Lawrence Bender said that he is really excited of what the director and actor team is about to do with this role. He had this to say “They’re going to push each other and really help make something special,”

Pitt’s character’s traits will be akin to what Samuel Jackson did in Pulp Fiction with Jules Winnfield and might be in the lines of this “we’re gonna be doing one thing, and one thing only, and that’s killing Nazis,” according to those familiar with the script.

Now the shooting of the whole movie will jump into full swing and will start shooting in October 13 in Germany. so they expect to have a showing for the Cannes who will be all the more excited to see Brad Pitt in a role like this. Bender also had this to say ” It’s going to be a nine-month sprint marathon,”.

So with the big cast question finally finalized. It is upto to the rest of them to follow suit after this really big signing. Here hoping the best of luck to Quentin and I take my words back on the guy.
