Green Day with Bayer

Samuel Bayer is set to return to directing movie with two action film. One of them is a remake of the Vampire Horror film Near Dark. The plot centers around a mid western farm boy who reluctantly becomes a member of the undead when a girl he meets turns out to be a part of a band of vampires who roam the highway in stolen cars. I just hope it doesn’t turn out to be one of those Lost Tribe type movies. Seriously we have had enough of those.

But his next big one is an action thriller called Fiasco Heights. This one centers around a gunman who returns back to a crime ridden city called Fiasco Heights. He gets hooked up with a crazy gambler come private eye on a search to find a damsel and mysterious breifcase. Samuel Bayer has worked on some revolutionary videos like the Nirvana ” Smells like Teen Spirit”, the immensely popular and gothic Green Day ” Boulevard of Broken Dreams” video and finally just recently shot the Scarlett Johansson starrer with Justin Timberlake in the video ” What Goes Around Comes Around”. Samuel is sure going to break some new ground with his unorthodox entry into films.
