A scene from Genius Party

The Japanese animation creators are working overtime to bring out the next big step in the field. They seemed to have almost outdone themselves in the first part of this series. Now with arrival of the Genius Party Beyond the list of notable animators has just gone beyond expectation. It consists of a series of shorts by some great masters of animation. The film had its premier in Washington in Feb and a second trailer for the movie has come now.

Wanwa the Puppy by Shinya Ohira (Kill Bill: Vol. 1)

Gala by Mahiro Maeda (The Animatrix: The Second Renaissance)

Moondrive by Koji Morimoto (The Animatrix)

Tojin Kit by Tatsuyuki Tanaka (Digital Juice, worked on Akira)

Dimension Bomb by Kazuto Nakazawa (Parasite Dolls, The Animatrix)

With addition of all these names and so many different styles featured on this video. There is no shock that this might be the next big thing since Animatrix. Can’t wait to get a hold of this. Here is the longer trailer for those of you who have missed it.
