Just Before Helena Bonham Carter confirmed to playing a villain in next summer’s much awaited movie, the Terminator himself had few things to say about the movie which is the first Terminator film not to feature him.
The LA Times apparently got hold of Schwarzenegger and asked him few questions about his movie career and more importantly about Terminator Salvation. He said, ” They showed me some footage, but I don’t have a feel for the movie. I didn’t see enough. I wasn’t sure who the Terminator was. I don’t know if there is one or if he’s the star or the hero. These are the things that determine the success and how the strong the movie will be.”
I think the reason being that no Terminator is involved as a hero and that the story is based in a post-apocalyptic era seems to have confused Schwarzenegger so much that he says, “I still don’t know how it will play out with this one.” Maybe the clips shown were just some random scenes and since Paul Haggis and Jonathan Nolan are the contributing writers, the story he pictured was just way beyond his imagination.
I still feel that this movie has the potential to be a solid entertainer because what he said are just his opinions and not what the movie might turn out to be.
Anyone has any thoughts on this?
