Jennifer Aniston in a scene from the movie

This is not one of those movies that you can can jump and say i love it. But it leaves a pretty good impression of what direction this talented director wants to go. A story about some rich married women friends who have a single friend in their group. It might already sound really dull with such a story line. But let me add something that might interest you it stars Jennifer Aniston as the lone friend. But this movie doesn’t even revolve over that fact. It is more like a coming together of friends of the director who have grown to love her day by day and she sort of exploits that friendship to make some truly masterwork. Mrs Nicole Holofcener has been in the industry for quite some time now. She has been making several small movies about how woman conduct themselves and the choices they make in a urban setting. This is probably a part of her trilogy of films including Lovely and Amazing and the other one is still unnamed. These women represent the affluence of Los Angeles and also the flip side.

The film deals with how there friendship go through so many struggles. But still try to remain close to each other. But there is a black sheep in this played by Jennifer Aniston called Olivia she is a woman who is totally not sure of where she is going and is totally confused when it comes to men. She feels her life seems to be just a series of mischances. She doesn’t really look out for something significant to come her way and she gets only that much. But that is where this story soars the character is more like what the city is demanding of its people. She is like the allegory to what the city stands for and the true reality of the American Dream for some. Many of us know that not all of us are going to get a slice of a pie. But we still strive for it by imitating trying to make our way to the top of the chain. So that it will be easier to get access to the resources the country can provide. This is a total destruction of the tables of human condition. But many critics who saw this failed to see it in the first viewing and didn’t care less for a second time. The film is more like an ode to what might just be the fate of many American Woman who want to live their lives on their own just don’t let it happen to anyone close to you. Just for my sake.
