Rocker Sting’s wife Trudie Styler has acquired film rights to the upcoming graphic novel American Reaper. The story is set in the future where identity theft leads to victims having their minds erased and replaced by those of the elderly rich seeking a second youth or by criminals and terrorists with more sinister motives. A team of special agents known as the Reapers, are formed to track down and terminate those responsible. Seems to me like an interesting premise for some Hard Core action and special effects.

It was created by Pat Mills and Clint Langley. Mills is famous for his work in Judge Dredd and Marshal Law will be part of the script team working on this movie. Langley on the other hand is known for his innovative use of computer art imagery has been his regular collaborator since 1991. The premise has seriously got my curiosity up but it is going to be the treatment of the film that is going to be the main pulling points of the movie.
