No person in the world could stand up to her that should have been the tag line. Cate Blanchett plays Veronica a like a queen about to be raped by her victims but is still in gallant in all her struggle. This is one film that had got loads of people talking in the press fraternity. Ethics on how far a journalist really needs to go to get a story? These are trying times for journalists around the world. a constant search for what is relevant and what gets printed is something that many people have been striving for years. Even to report something comes with a lot of consequences. But are newscasters and newsgroups ready to stand up for what is truly relevant or still run after hogwash on whether Angelina gave birth or not.

Veronica risked a lot to make sure her news got printed. The means to her endeavor is at times questionable. But who could tell her what rules to follow when she didnt have any. She walks through streets filled with syringes and kids who play with them what sort of rules does she need to have? These people have just shown what the world can do for us and how violent it can turn when we reveal some of its demons. But the purpose of this review will not be served unless i tell you what this movie is about. But in that front I think I really need to break a rule. It doesn’t take us long for us to make judgments on all the news we see. But do we go beyond the very fabric of what is show to us. Will we take time from our busy vacations to see for ourselves what it is that is making these places so in explorable. How long are we going to let these things pasts? People who risk their lives so that we could just judge what they show us?
This is one of those movies that will surely make you shake your head in disgust on what happened to this woman? But how much more can you do other than Shake?

But these questions are not what are answered in this film. But it is more of a show of strength that this woman exudes and total submission of Cate Blanchett to the character. It just leaves with many questions in our head. How much does a human mind need to watch for it to make a conscious decision?
