Even though actor Ray Winstone’s daughter Jaime is only in her early twenties, she has already established a reputation for risque cinema.
So far, American audiences are relatively unaware of the acting prowess of Ray Winstone’s 22-year-old daughter Jaime, even though she has garnered some serious attention across the pond for her work in things like Daddy’s Girl, Kidulthood and Bullet Boy. Yanks are more likely to be familiar with UK tabloid accounts of her ongoing seven-month romance with the brother of pop singer Lily Allen, Alfie.
But Winstone’s international profile is likely to soon be raised by a pair of provocative 2008 flicks entitled Donkey Punch and Boogie Woogie. The former, about three young British women looking for adventure while vacationing in Spain, features within the first half-hour an orgy scene that showcases the X-rated act of the film’s title. It premieres at this summer’s Edinburgh International Film Festival. The latter, a drama about the pretentiousness of the art world, has the young Winstone at one point sharing a lesbian love scene with co-star Gemma Atkinson.
“I loved the script,” the young Winstone tells Scotland on Sunday with regards to Donkey Punch. “The film’s about sex culture. We’ve all had those nights where we’ve drunk some wine and challenged our friends: ‘What positions have you done?’ These kids are pretty wild and for the movie to be believable it has to show some crazy sex. It was the most full-on I’d done, but I was cool about that.”
Lately, Jaime’s dad Ray has been favoring the U.S. side of the filmmaking equation, appearing in films such as Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Fool’s Gold, Beowulf and The Departed. Another one of his three children, Lois, is also an actress, having most recently graced the 2008 DVD movie Beyond the Rave.
